Mission details:

Develop more advanced data relay by improving the technology for the Communications and Broadcasting Engineering Satellite (COMETS).

The satellite failed to enter GTO right after launch because of a failure of the bipropellant apogee engine; the third firing was incomplete. It reached GEO a few days later.

The relay payload is working, was able to relay realtime data from Adeos 2.
Should operate in S- and Ka-band for inter satellite links and in Ka-band with the ground stations

Inter satellite link antenna: 3.6 m diameter; feeder link antenna: 1.8 m diameter
